The OpenGov Africa Summit is a community-organized hybrid convening: a Physical Hub in Lagos, Nigeria, alongside a Global Virtual Hub, built around nine tracks spanning governance, AI, climate, mobility, health, and the continent's economic future.

This is the maiden edition of the OpenGov Africa Summit. There is no past event to look back on, only a first one to get right. The figures below are targets we are building toward, not a record of a prior year.
The program mixes invited government officials, chief executives, and industry leaders with an open Call for Proposals, so the stage reflects both established global voices and emerging African voices. Attendance is free for students, and every session is available in the Physical Hub in Lagos or through our Virtual Hubs.

The Call for Proposals is open now through Sessionize. Submissions go through blind review, so speaker selection is judged on the proposal, not the name attached to it. We are not publishing a confirmed speaker list yet, because the review is still underway.
